We held our Make and Mend Market in Denton Burn Community Centre on Saturday 30th November.
It was a very fun and friendly day with supporters and stalls selling home-made gifts, and delicious jams and sauces from the local Scotswood community garden.
We made beeswax wrapping, learnt about how to make compost with a wormery, enjoyed the face painting and art making for children, bought some pre-loved clothes and collected donations for the West End Food Bank.
The Pay- as- you- Feel meals and drinks were a big success – all home cooking by Green Party volunteers.
Denton Burn Community Centre was a great place to hold our event, and we hope to repeat it again next year. If you want to Make and Mend in 2020 then please get in touch!
