The Wombles are back and are joining forces with Keep Britain Tidy to launch this years Great British Spring Clean 2020. They are also launching a campaign very close to our hearts, encouraging people to adopt positive Womble-style behaviour, from recycling to reusing and refurbishing old items rather than sending them to landfill.
Last year, more than 560,000 people took part and this year we are aiming to get 600,000 #LitterHeroes out there. Why not join us!
As part of the Great British Spring Clean 2020 we have two dates for your diary:
Denton Dene and King George V play area

Meet by the playground at the north section of Denton Dene, off Slatyford Lane at 11am. We'll move to the King George V play area off Kirkheaton Place at noon.

Meet at 10am, just inside to the left of the entrance gates. Gloves, bags and litter-grabbers provided; just bring yourselves!
