Newcastle Young Greens and Newcastle Green Party are co-hosting a one-day conference on Saturday 6th May, on the theme, A Sustainable Newcastle - what does this really mean.

- a choice of three workshops
- the film "GrowthBusters" (Dave Gardner, 2011)
- a chaired debate between Chi Onwurah MP and Andrew Gray (Newcastle East Green Party candidate in 2015 General Election). They will be considering the question "Sustainable growth - Is this a contradiction in terms?"
Like other cities across the UK, Newcastle is facing formidable challenges, from severe local government cuts to the crisis of climate change. Can these challenges be met? We need to find ways of living in a sustainable and equitable way.
