At the YouthStrike4ClimateNewcastle yesterday we heard the young people report back on their response from Newcastle Council following the youth strikers writing to ask what was now being done about the climate emergency declaration made in April, including stopping a proposed new coal mine near Throckley. Like these young folks, we are very disappointed by the council's answer
